In Dhrupad family, Tapash is a well known pakhawaj artist. For a decade he has been accompanying with Nasir Aminuddin Dagar, Zia Fariduddin Dagar, Rahim Fahimuddin Dagar, Pandit Ritwik Sanyal, Pandit Umakant Gundecha & Pandit Ramakant Gundecha, Ustad Asad Ali Khan, Pandit Prem Kumar Mallick, Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, Pandit Uday Bhawalkar, Ustad Bahauddin Dagar, Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, Pandit Falguni Mitra & Ustad Rashid Khan.

Blessings
Tapash has always felt blessed to be born in a musical family. At the age of 5, he started learning pakhawaj and tabla from his father Pandit Kalipada Das. He was also blessed by Pandit Biatthal Das Gujrati, Pandit Ramakant Pathak and Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. These three maestro guided him in his course of learning pakhawaj and made him a professional pakhawaj artist.
